we did a whirlwind tour of the city of lights, including sacre coeur and montmartre, the eiffel tower, the louvre, the champs elysees, arc de triomphe, centre pompidou, notre dame, place de la bastille, lunch in the tuileries garden, crepes in ile de la cite. and we finally made our way to gare de l'est for our train to strasbourg.
we arrived in strasbourg last night to a crowd of screaming french teenagers and the payton students were scooped up by their families and brought home for a warm dinner then some much needed rest. today we were treated to a lovely welcome breakfast at the school organized by the parents. currently the students are attending classes with their french partners; they will eat lunch in the cafeteria (higher quality than american cafeteria food) with their partners and then it's off to our croissant-making class at a small family owned boulangerie.
internet access is not as easy as we would like but we will try to update this blog as often as possible as well as post some photos. all the students are doing great; we are extremely impressed with their curiosity, courage, confidence and conscientiousness (our new four c's).
a bientot,
